The Secrets of Sikh Music Lecture


London Metropolitan University is hosting a lecture in the series on Sikh music by Sikh Musical Heritage. At the last lecture, we went on a journey, exploring the magical and enchanting story behind raag, and what the Gurus felt when they were composing.

The lecture on 28th February will enlighten you as to the secrets behind Sikh music...why is raag used, why is it so powerful and how is it so powerful?

Come and learn for yourselves why the majority of the Guru Granth Sahib is composed in Raag. Come and learn about your Guru!!

It's that time of year once again for a week long of inspiring, intellectual, active and most importantly fun talks, discussions, workshops and Keertan. This Sikhi Week has been carefully put together after much deliberation with numerous students and elder Gursikhs alike to present a week long of a high quality active Sikh learning experience. This Sikhi Week is unique as it was felt by the large Sikh spectrum that the following topics where key and need to be covered for everyone no matter what stage we are at with our Sikhi. Speakers have been carefully selected to insure students get the maximum use of there time. The week will begin with an Ekta Paintballing Massacre.
